Pots that breathe.
Wool that gives back.
Same seed. Different story.
The seedling in our wool pot is taller, greener, and more vigorous than its neighbour in plastic .Same seed, same soil, same sun. Wool regulates moisture, breathes, and keeps roots happy. Plastic doesn't.
How to use our pots .Grow your plants. Then bury the pot. That's genuinely it.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use Fleecy Wool Pots indoors?
Absolutely , they're great for starting seeds on a windowsill or in a greenhouse. Just keep in mind they're designed to eventually go into the ground, so if kept indoors long-term without being planted out, they'll slowly begin to break down. That's by design ,it's what makes them special. For best results, start your seeds inside and transplant into the garden within 6–10 weeks.
Can I really plant the whole pot into the ground?
Yes , that's exactly how they work. When your seedling is ready to go in the garden, plant the entire wool pot directly into the soil. The roots grow right through the walls, so there's zero transplant shock, and the pot breaks down naturally over 3–6 months, feeding the soil as it goes.
What size plants do the pots fit?
Fleecy Wool Pots are ideal for seedlings and young plants herbs, tomatoes, lettuce, flowers, brassicas, and most vegetables. They're designed for the growing-on stage, so we recommend transplanting into the garden within 6–10 weeks of sowing.
How long before the pot breaks down?
In soil, the pots typically break down in the ground within 3–6 months depending on moisture, temperature, and soil conditions. As they decompose they release nutrients back into the ground , so they're working for your plants even as they disappear.
Are they better than plastic pots for my plants?
Yes, in a few meaningful ways. Wool breathes, so roots get airflow that plastic doesn't allow. It also self-regulates moisture ,holding water and releasing it slowly, which reduces the risk of overwatering. And because you plant the whole pot, roots are never disturbed at transplanting time, which means stronger, less stressed plants.
